Licence and rental conditions to check
Driving entitlement, acceptance by ID Location and vehicle coverage are three separate checks. Tell us your licence category and the vehicle you want. Do not submit an identity document through this form.
A1 category in the canton of Vaud
A1 includes motorcycles up to 125cc and 11kW, accessible from age 16 under the canton’s conditions. This legal age alone does not establish ID Location’s rental terms: your licence and the offered vehicle still need checking.
Swiss B licence: do not assume A1
Vaud states that a B licence holder can obtain the A1 addition after 12 hours of basic practical training, without an examination. Holding B alone therefore does not show that this addition has been obtained. Check your licence and the process with the road traffic authority.
Your licence was issued abroad
Check the categories covered by your national licence and the documents needed in Switzerland. An international driving permit accompanies the corresponding national licence; it does not add a vehicle category. A valid licence does not mean automatic acceptance: anyone may submit a request, reviewed manually for their profile and vehicle. Tell the team your situation and check the official source before travelling.
Practical training and rental
ID Location supplies a rental vehicle; mandatory training must be taken with an approved instructor. The three-session request covers three separate four-hour periods. It is neither training delivered by ID Location nor a licence approval.
A handover agreed together
Pickup in Montreux by appointment, 7 days a week, at an agreed time. Delivery only within Montreux, Vevey and the Riviera, on request: availability and price are confirmed case by case before you agree.
The model and the actual vehicle
PCX, NMAX, XMAX and Forza 125 are offered. Year, colour and equipment may vary by unit. Photos illustrate the model; we confirm the actual vehicle before you agree.
What if my model is not free?
Your requested model stays unchanged. Choose yes, no or discuss for an alternative proposal. This never means accepting another vehicle, a higher price or new terms: you decide after receiving a concrete offer.
