50cc or 125cc licence in Switzerland: differences to check
Engine size, power, maximum speed and your licence matter together. A 50cc and a 125cc are not automatically interchangeable for your enquiry.

Two categories described by Vaud
Vaud describes A1 up to 125cc and 11kW from age 16; light A1 covers up to 50cc and 45km/h from age 15. These limits alone do not establish your personal entitlement: have the categories and restrictions actually recorded on your licence checked.
With a car licence or a foreign licence
Do not conclude that a B licence automatically permits the requested vehicle. The Swiss B-to-A1 pathway and foreign-licence verification are separate questions. Check our 125cc guide and the authority's information for your situation; an entitlement in another country does not establish your rental conditions.
The current ID Location offer
No 50cc scooter is currently offered in the active catalogue. The historical Piaggio Typhoon was sold. If you require this category, do not select a 125cc by default: explain the need to the team. The current model list does not promise availability for your dates.
Before relying on a scooter
Anyone may submit a request. Acceptance is manual after identity, licence, profile and vehicle checks. Swiss citizens residing in Switzerland have the clearest acceptance path, subject to these checks; other profiles are reviewed case by case. The deposit is determined case by case. If required, its amount is confirmed before the rental.
