Visit Montreux by scooter: plan a day on the Riviera
Start with your arrival, the places you want to visit and your luggage. Then decide which journeys suit a motor scooter and which you would make another way.

Guide notes
Clarens, La Tour-de-Peilz and Vevey are natural destinations along the Swiss Riviera. Adapt your route to traffic, weather, permitted parking and your experience.
Follow traffic rules, keep the route realistic and allow enough time for the agreed return.
What to confirm in your request
Availability and total price confirmed in writing before you commit.
Licence, identity and profile checked before confirmation for the specific vehicle. Only the renter named in the contract drives.
Return with the same fuel level as at pickup.
Arriving from Geneva or Lausanne
In the SBB timetable, select your actual departure point — for example Geneva Airport, Geneva or Lausanne — and Montreux as the destination. Check the date, any changes and arrival time before requesting a handover slot. The train’s arrival is not your scooter departure time: allow for meeting and familiarisation. ID Location handover is agreed in Montreux; no transfer from Geneva is automatically included.
Plan for your luggage before setting off
Carry only what the offered vehicle can accommodate appropriately. For a suitcase, check with your accommodation or consult the lockers listed on SBB’s Montreux station page. Check current dimensions, charges and terms; an empty locker is not guaranteed. Scooter rental does not include luggage storage advertised by another provider.
Leave room in your day
Choose your priority stops before aiming for a maximum distance. Montreux Riviera publishes places to visit, events and seasonal information. Check your chosen destination’s opening and access, then plan the journey and parking separately. A suggested attraction is not a verified scooter route. Leave time for breaks and the agreed return.
A 125cc scooter or a car for the day?
Start with riding experience, licence, travellers and luggage. Compare PCX, NMAX, XMAX and Forza to identify your preference, then have the actual vehicle checked. If your plans point towards a car, review the partner models and their own terms. A car proposal remains separate from your scooter enquiry.
A handover agreed together
Pickup in Montreux by appointment, 7 days a week, at an agreed time. Delivery only within Montreux, Vevey and the Riviera, on request: availability and price are confirmed case by case before you agree.
The model and the actual vehicle
PCX, NMAX, XMAX and Forza 125 are offered. Year, colour and equipment may vary by unit. Photos illustrate the model; we confirm the actual vehicle before you agree.
What if my model is not free?
Your requested model stays unchanged. Choose yes, no or discuss for an alternative proposal. This never means accepting another vehicle, a higher price or new terms: you decide after receiving a concrete offer.
Choose one day plan, not every destination
For a first outing, keep Montreux and Chillon as the main plan, then decide whether a Vevey stop leaves enough time to return. Another day can focus on Lavaux. Its official website describes access on foot, by train, bus and boat and encourages soft mobility: a vineyard walking path does not become a scooter route.
For each option, note one priority visit, what to carry, the weather and when you need to be back in Montreux. Check the road route and parking separately. If planning a tasting, arrange a return that does not involve driving. No route is presented as an organized or ID Location-tested tour.
